All You Need To Know About the Four Different Parts of Medicare
Medicare plan is free for all those who are employed for ten years or more in a job that covers Medicare. For getting the best coverage it is important that you know the details about the various options available in this program. As a matter of fact there is no bad Medicare plan or program, but the thing that matters is finding the right Medicare plan for you.
Those who suffer from permanent disability or kidney failure can also enroll for this plan before they turn 65, but they must be receiving social security disability benefits for at least twenty months. As soon as they complete twenty five months they can apply for Utah Medicare plans even before turning 65.
Four parts are covered in the Medicare program as described below:
• Part A (Hospital Insurance)
Part A of the Medicare plan is the part of the basic coverage offered by the Medicare. All expense related to the hospitalization are covered under this part. There are certain terms and conditions associated with this plan like you are supposed to pay the deductibles and you are covered for the 90 days in hospital per illness. After that, the program will pay for a onetime 60 day stay at hospital.
• Part B (Medical Insurance)
Part B is also a basic coverage plan and you don’t need to pay anything extra for this if you have enrolled in Medicare plan. Part B covers the payment for the doctor’s visits and the tests needed by your doctor. You need to pay the deductibles in the part B and the amount of deductible depends upon your income. If you get approval for this plan, Medicare will pay 80% of the cost and you will need to pay the remaining 20%. This will only be coved for the doctor bills in the USA only.
• Part C (Medicare Advantage)
You need to be enrolled in the basic Medicare plan in order to join Medicare Advantage Utah plan or Part C. There are basically 10 different options in this plan, which are offered by private Insurance companies approved by Medicare. The best plant offered under Part C is plan F, as it covers everything which is not covered under Part A and Part B.
• Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)
Part D is a prescription drug coverage plan. Each Medicare prescription drug plan has its own covered drug list. If you have enrolled in Part C you do not need to enroll in Part D.
