TCS and ESP Traction Control System (TCS)

TCS also known as traction control system. Car braking in slippery roads, the wheel will spin out of control and even the direction. Similarly, the car in the start-up or hard acceleration, the driving wheel also likely to slip on the slippery roads of ice and snow also make a direction out of control out of the danger. TCS is designed to solve this problem.

TCS rely on electronic sensors to detect when the driven wheel speed is less than the drive wheel (which is slipping characteristics), it will send a signal to adjust the ignition time, reducing the valve opening degree, reducing the throttle, downshift or brake the wheels, thereby so that the wheels will not spin.

TCS can improve vehicle driving stability, improve acceleration, improve climbing ability. Original mining just installed limousine TCS, many ordinary cars.

TCS and ABS is used in conjunction with each other, will further enhance the safety performance of the car. TCS and ABS wheel speed sensor common axle, and connected with the trip computer, continuously monitors the wheel speed, and when the the found slipping at low speed, TCS will immediately notify the ABS action to reduce wheel slip. Slip high speed found, TCS to the trip computer immediately issued a directive, command and deceleration of the engine or transmission downshifts, slipping wheels will not spin, to prevent losing control of the vehicle to drift.

Electronic stability control (ESP)

Electronic stability control (ElectronicStablityProgram, ESP) is applied first by the Mercedes-Benz car company in its A-class car. ESP is actually a traction control system with traction control system, ESP not only control the drive wheels, and can control the driven wheel. Oversteering situations such as rear-wheel-drive vehicles often appear at the rear wheel out of control and drift, ESP will brake to slow the outside front wheel to stabilize the car; the steering too low, in order correction tracking direction, ESP will slowly brake the inner rear wheel, thereby correcting the traveling direction. Likely to slip out of control out of the danger but also the direction on the slippery roads of ice and snow. TCS is designed to solve this problem.
